Whether you are renewing your passport or applying for the first time, you will need to prepare an application form and submit it in person at one of our offices.

We will attach the photos for you. All applications must be lodged in person. There are no exceptions, even if you have renewed by mail in the past or if you live a long distance from our offices.

The Australian embassy is located in Washington, DC. You may choose to visit any of the consulates listed above to apply for a passport renewal. Only the embassy in DC and the consulate in San Francisco accept walk-ins.
