Lavender fields near London and the best time to visit. When is the best time to visit London lavender fields? I would definitely advise you to avoid weekends if at all possible, as it gets sooo busy. Having checked several lavender farm websites, the general consensus is lavender is in full bloom between mid June to August in the UK.

Open June through to August you can walk amongst the lavender and take photos and soak up the fantastic area. Our farm in Banstead is where we grow acres of our lavender crop for organic oil and is open to the public from June to September to experience the loveliness of a sea of lavender! It also has a shop and al fresco café. Mon-Sat 9am to 5pm, Sundays 10am to 5pm.

During the season, we are open days per week from 9am to 6pm (Last entry for cars is 5pm). Entry is £per person. FREE entry for Children years and under. Our NURSERY and shop in Epsom is open all year round.


Tripadvisor among attractions in Banstead. I haven’t heard anybody calling this place “Paradise Field”. Just came to my mind and if you pay a visit , you will understand why. It’s kind a catchy as well so feel free to use it #128521; Reading about “paying a visit ”, you are probably thinking “Surely they charge for this visit ”. I recommend heading there first thing, when the farm opens at 9am or later in the afternoon before closing (last entrance is 5pm and gates close at 7pm).

Wander through scented lavender fields—and pick up one-of-a-kind local products—on this full-day trip from Seattle to Sequim, timed to coincide with the city’s renowned lavender festival.


You’ll also visit up to three local farms for a chance to pick your own fragrant herbs. There is no need to book in advance, it is operated on a first come, first serve basis. As lavenders are seasonal, the farm is usually open from June to August when the lavenders are in bloom. Each year the lavender season varies, depending on the weather. Lined with organic lavender , this acres of field is a great place to wander through the sea of vivid aromatic flowers during the summer months.

It gets very busy at weekends — visit on a weekday if possible. In June-July, this is in full bloom! Definitely one of the most romantic activities to do from London.


It is also only hour from London. However, you have to hurry, as it is only open until August 31st! As I mentioned earlier, if you can arrive before the school holidays begin, there will likely be less people around. Closes about late August when the lavender has ended. There is not really anything else to visit.


Mayfield lavender is not open in October. Banstead village just up the road is a nice place to visit , but mayfield is a long way from central London. But the best time to visit is about June to August.
