Tafe international students fees

Do foreign students pay tuition fees? What is a TAFE tuition deposit? We will invoice you for the insurance premium along with your tuition fees.


From the cost for standard OSHC is A$ 6per year per single student. The following information relates to international students only (visa sub-class 500).

There are three types of fees that you need to pay for your TAFE course: 1. Tuition Fees– international student tuition fees are set on a commercial basis and are paid as a whole of course fee.


International student tuition fees are not aligned to domestic student tuition fees. This is completed as part of the Department of Home Affairs student visa application process. Please note that TIWA does not accept liability for any fees paid to an agent or other third party in relation to an application for enrolment.

Tuition fees are payable in advance to TIWA each semester of your enrolme. See full list on tafeinternational. These courses will enable you to develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills from beginner to advanced level. You can also combine an English language course with a TAFE course so that you only require one visa.


TIWA offers the following English language courses to international students, at a fee of $3per week: 1. View more information about the English language courses offered to international students. TAFE Courses TAFE courses can be undertaken as a: 1. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) The Australian Government requires all international students to purchase OSHC in order to be granted a student visa. OSHC must cover the length of your student visa and be purchased prior to your arrival in Australia. If you choose this option, you will be billed for OSHC along with your tuition fees , both amounts will be printed on your statement of account.


Payment of fees Students are required to pay tuition fees and OSHC fees to TIWA prior to arrival in Australia to secure their enrolment. Resource and materials fees are payable to your TAFE College at enrolment, details will be provided at orientation. When approve fees for the subsequent year will be available at tafeinternational. Additional tuition fee payments can be made at any time.


New students will find detailed fees and payment information on their Letter of Offer and continuing students will receive a tuition fee reminder notice in April for semester two and October for semester one the following year.

You must ensure payments are made in accordance with the due dates indicated in these notices to ensure you maintain a valid enrolment. Most subjects are worth credit points, although there are some subjects worth and credit points. TAFE Queensland Tuition Fees are currently under review. TAFE South Australia also operates the only Government owned ELICOS (English language) Centre in South Australia. Resource fees and material fees may also be payable. English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) fees are $3AUD per week.

Continuing Students Before fees are due, you will receive Fee advice letter advising you of the amount, due date and payment options. Resource Fees cover materials purchased by South Metropolitan TAFE to be consumed or transformed by students in the course of instruction. The resource fee also covers internet charges and other services utilised by students during their course.


Domestic students pay tuition fees each semester on a per subject basis, ie: fees are only due for subjects a student has enrolled in each semester. As an international student , you can choose to study nationally recognised courses from Certificate III level through to Advanced Diploma, in a wide range of industry areas including Tourism and Hospitality, Business and Accounting, Information Technology, Science and Community Services. TAFE offers high quality nationally recognised courses for international students and is government backed and guaranteed.
