Located in the heart of Harlem where Chef Marcus Samuelsson brings his passion for food to the neighborhood he calls home. Annalise Mariottini is an emerging NYC-based artist. We seek to share the story of Harlem with our guests and offer a space that celebrates local artists, musicians and culinary talents alike. We will pay all employees through the week and will work with state and local officials should circumstances dictate. It was a noisy, crowded spot with a combination of locals and tourists who wanted to taste the latest and greatest. Sophisticated grays contrasted with a red mesh back and snap closure. The place is always busy, very hip, and the crowd is quite diverse.


The ambiance is really enjoyable, and the service is very good. Some things are even really good. But that’s not why you come to this now-legendary spot in Harlem.


I don’t know what took us so long, but we finally planned a time and headed to the restaurant for brunch one Saturday. In true Harlem style, the place is lively and colorful, waking you up more quickly than any cup of coffee can. The chef, who strikes a chord with a diverse group by fusing together eclectic musicians, artists and a global menu, recently spoke to HuffPost Live about how he hopes others sees his.
