Bullsbrook fire

The warning was issued about 11:30am for people in the western part of Bullsbrook , near Ellenbrook Roa in the City of Swan. People in the area were warned they were in danger and needed to act immediately to survive. Earlier on Thursday a bushfire Emergency Warning had been issued for people in an area bounded by Railway Parade, Stock Roa Great Northern Highway and Rudland Road in Bullsbrook.


An emergency warning has been issued for people in an area bounded by Railway Parade, Stock Roa Great Northern Highway and Rudland Road in Bullsbrook , which includes the RAAF Base Pearce, about kilometres north-east of Perth. A WA Police spokesman said the death appeared non-suspicious and a report would be prepared for the coroner.

Bullsbrook and spread quickly, fanned by strong easterly winds, burning through about 27ha of scrub and private paddocks between Ellenbrook Road and Railway Parade. The fire was reported about 11. Almost 1firefighters and four water bombing aircraft were called in to fight the fire which threatened about semi-rural homes. Firefighters are on the scene battling the fire , which is currently moving in a westerly direction. The blaze is burning in the Bullsbrook area north of Perth.


A person has died in a house fire in Bullsbrook which was sparked just before 4am this morning. The whole house was fully alight when firefighters arrived at the home. No cause for the fire has been established but police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Incident controller John Newman said there had been very little change in the fire shape overnight. It is burning towards Chittering. Environment Minister Albert Jacob would not be drawn on whether the fire started at the Bullsbrook transport depot on Railway Parade by an angle grinder.
